Abstract
Comments on Ackom (aka Bonsu) v Secretary of State for the Home Department (CA) on the proper approach to the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 s.117C(4), finding that the First-tier Tribunal had erred in finding that a 27-year-old "foreign criminal", who had lived in the UK for 20 years after being brought to the UK by his father from Germany, satisfied the requirement within Exception 1(c) that there would be "very significant obstacles" to his integration to the country to which it was proposed he should be deported.
