Abstract
This paper has a dual focus of threshold assessment (Rossiter, 2020) and take home laboratories (Taylor, Jones and Eastwood, 2013). One could argue that it is clear that take home laboratories are a good idea, but this paper focuses on effective integration into module delivery and assessment in order to maximise the value to the students. It is shown how using in a threshold assessment strategy can significantly enhance the efficacy of the take home laboratory usage.
