El treball social a Anglaterra en temps d'austeritat (Social work in England in times of austerity)

Aquest article ofereix una descripció del sistema actual de serveis socials anglès i una reflexió sobre les diferències amb el sistema català i com això afecta la pràctica diària del treball social. Primer s’expliquen les principals diferències contextuals del treball social com a professió i després es resumeix el sistema sociosanitari anglès basant-se en quatre àrees: macropolítiques de benestar social, institucions sociosanitàries, funció del treballador social, usuaris i famílies. Finalment, es reflexiona sobre la pràctica del treball social a Anglaterra en temps d’austeritat. (This article shows a description of the current British social services system and a reflection on the differences with the Catalan system and how this affects Social Work daily practice. First of all, the main context differences of Social Work as a profession are explained and, secondly, the British health and social care systems are summarized in four areas: social welfare macropolicies, health and social care institutions, Social Worker’s role, users and families. The article finishes with a reflection on Social Work practice in England in times of austerity.)
