Abstract
The focus of this paper is to understand how the organic lubricant additive work on different DLC surfaces compared with the original engine oil additive package. This is important because most of the engine oil formulations now are designed for ferrous surfaces. The results in this paper show that different DLCs may have different performance when the organic additive/friction modifier is used.
