Boland, F.M. (1979) Linear Multi-Pass Processes: A Two-Dimensional Interpretation. Research Report. ACSE Research Report 102 . Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering
Abstract
A large class of discrete multi-pass processes can be viewed as 2-D systems of the form proposed by Roesser. It is shown that the criteria for stability along the pass is equivalent to Shanks condition for 2-D BIBO stability. The interplay of ideas between the two disciplines should make possible the emergence of a coherent feedback control and systems theory for multi-pass processes.
