Banks, S.P (1981) Controllability, Optimal Control and Receding Horizon Control of Distributed Multipass Processes. Research Report. ACSE Report 181 . Department of Control Engineering, University of Sheffield, Mappin Street, Sheffield
Abstract
In this paper the control of linear distributed multipass processes is considered using the semigroup formulation. A controllability condition is proved, and requires a certain integral operator to have zero kernel. Both the optimallinear-quadratic and receding horizon approaches are studied and finally a simple example is presented.
