Xiong, Y.L. and Banks, S.P. (1980) Optimality Conditions for the Extreme Difference of Conjugate Functions. Research Report. ACSE Report 178 . Department of Control Engineering, University of Sheffield, Mappin Street, Sheffield

The conjugate strong duality theorem is extended by removing certain convexity assumptions with specific reference to the case where f=g. A practical optimization method is also presented.
