Banks, S.P (1981) The Receding Horizon Principle for Distributed Systems. Research Report. ACSE Report 167 . Department of Control Engineering, University of Sheffield, Mappin Street, Sheffield
Abstract
The receding horizon principle is generalized to distributed parameter systems of the wave and diffusion types. This leads to a nonlinear control law which improves on the classical linear quadratic solution.
