Stiebert, J. orcid.org/0000-0001-6744-4819 (2025) Introduction. In: Stiebert, J., (ed.) Abuse in World Religions: Towards Solutions. Rape Culture, Religion and the Bible. Taylor & Francis, London, UK, pp. 1-2. ISBN: 9781032348575.
Abstract
The Introduction makes the transition from Volume 1, which centred on abuse in five of six major world religions, to Volume 2, which centres on ways to heal from, confront, and prevent spiritual abuse within religious settings. Each chapter focusses on abuse in one of these five major religious traditions: Judaism, Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, and Sikhi(sm), with two chapters on Christianity. It provides examples of activism or of resistance to spiritual abuse from within each of these traditions.
