Abstract
This Introduction offers a brief history of the journal of the African Association for the Study of Religions, and reflects on the journal's relaunch under a new name, Utambuzi, and on a new open access online platform hosted by UJ Press. It also introduces the theme of this special relaunch issue, dedicated to '(Re)setting the agenda' of the study of African religions in the 21st century.
