Abstract
The Latin maxim 'In toto et pars continetur' which can be translated as "the part is also included in the whole", seems to fit perfectly into the discussion on the unification of law. This monograph is also devoted to these considerations. It consists of six chapters dealing with selected and to a lesser extent studied threads regarding the unification or problems with unifying the law related to it, which have occurred throughout history in various legal branches. The thematic scope of individual chapters reflects the conducted research and academic interests of individual authors.
