Abstract
This presentation details the outcomes of a study investigating the neural mechanics of crossmodal emotional picture and sound processing. Visual and audio stimuli of different negative, neutral and positive valence were presented in unimodal or multimodal congruent/incongruent pairings. Resulting behavioural and event-related potential (ERP) data was recorded through continuous EEG signals from 64 electrode sites and analysed to uncover modulations in neural amplitude to modality and/or valance differences.
