Abstract
Neurolinguistic Programing (hereafter NLP) has emerged as a methodology which aims to provide a set of techniques and guidelines for resolving personal challenges and ultimately achieving excellence. In essence, NLP is practically oriented and, no matter to what field it is applied, it seeks actual outcomes. Drawing on diverse disciplines, such as Linguistics, Systems Theory, and Cognitive Psychology, NLP is thought to be helpful in language teaching. NLP cannot be conceived of as a method or approach to language teaching per se but it could be argued that by dint of using NLP guidelines and techniques which could be of use in a wide range of teaching approaches, such as Task-based Language Teaching, language teachers will perform more efficiently in the language classroom.
