Banks, S.P. and Djirar, S. (1993) On the Existence and the Number of Fixed Points of Dynamical Systems Defined by Cellular Automata. Research Report. ACSE Research Report 491 . Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering
Abstract
A technique for determining fixed points and their number in one-and-two dimensional cellular automata based on graph theory is given. The method is simple to apply and can easily be implemented on a computer.
