Edwards, J.B., Sadreddini, S.M. and Evans, G.A. (1986) Robotic Control of Tunnelling Machines. Research Report. Acse Report 287 . Dept of Automatic Control and System Engineering. University of Sheffield
Abstract
Research is described into the application of robotic techniques to the control of mining machines for tunnelling, heading, ripping etc. Field results are presented showing improved load-control when driving a single axis. Proposals and simulation results for simultaneous control of both axes are then considered.
