Fawcett, W (1973) Coalism- A Digital Simulation Program for the Coal Production and Handling Systems at a Mechanised Colliery. Research Report. ACSE Report 17 . Department of Control Engineering, University of Sheffield, Mappin Street, Sheffield
Abstract
No official abstract has been written for this report so we have used the first few lines of chapter 1 : The role of simulation at different levels within the coal industry. Underground coalmining is a complex production activity with strong interactions between operations, so that it would be folly to consider formulating and applying objectives for a limited area of activities without taking into account their effect upon and feedbacks from, the dynamic behaviour of the rest of the system..........
