Nicholson, H (1969) Sequential Least-Squares Estimation, Identification, Reduction and Control. Part 1. UNSPECIFIED. ACSE Report CE69-2 . Department of Control Engineering, University of Sheffield, Mappin Street, Sheffield
Abstract
sequential algorithms are developed for solution of the linear system problems concerned with optimal estimation identification, prediction, control and reduction on the basis of the classical problem of least squares estimation. The properties of the various minimum-norm solutions are shown to be closely related, and an interesting analogy existing between the least-squares estimation equation and the power-current equations for an interconnected electrical work based on connection-matrix transformations is illustrated.......
