Fakhouri, S.Y., Billings, S.A. and Wormold, C.N. (1980) Analysis of estimation errors in the identification of nonlinear systems. Research Report. ACSE Research Report no 115 . Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, University of Sheffield
Abstract
Estimation errors introduced in the identification of nonlinear systems are analysed. The influence of record length, power and bandwidth of the input excitation, the effects of input and output noise and errors introduced by the decomposition techniques are investigated. Experimental design and input selection are discusses and the results are illustrated by simulated examples.
