Abstract
This paper discusses the findings of a small scale exploratory study on school leadership development programmes in Latvia. A brief international perspective on leadership development practice is given to appreciate more clearly the Lativan context. The evaluation of current reserach in this field reveals a number of key trends in school leadership training frameworks. This indicates a changing landscape where traditional models of delivery are being succeeded by more innovative approaches.
