Abstract
This paper describes the unique propagation environment, in vehicles structures, and gives an overview of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) radio systems which might be considered for use in wireless networks within vehicles. Some initial results describing the performance of the Zigbee radio system in a reverberant environment are then presented.
