Abstract
This toolkit was created to support and equip researchers, across all disciplines, with guidance to make their research practices more inclusive and accessible to disabled people. Our aim is to offer useful, practical and evidence-based guidance rooted in both lived experience and academic research. We believe that inclusive research benefits everyone, not just disabled people. We understand that most people engaging in this resource want to ‘do better’ but may not always know where to start or where to look. We hope this guide empowers you, rather than overwhelms, offering you useful steps and reflections for every stage of your research cycle. This toolkit is formed from three complementary elements: a literature review, a survey disseminated to disabled people, and qualitative analysis of follow-up interviews with participants. We wish to strike a balance between context and practical advice.
