Abstract
From heavy metal concerts with Baal imagery to Kanye’s “I Am a God” performances, symbols that normally need no explanation are suddenly forced to justify themselves. In my new essay for Inform: Religion at the Boundaries, I explore how the Epstein affair collapses rich historical layers into one conspiratorial axis — with real effects in Turkey and the eastern Mediterranean–Mesopotamian region.
