Interview with Chris Taylor: Enfolded Journeys, a mobile exhibition

The present contribution comprises an interview with Professor Chris Taylor in his capacity as one the curators of the exhibition Enfolded Journeys. Enfolded Journeys is conceived of as a touring exhibition and themed on narratives of voluntary and involuntary mobility (travel, displacement, geographies of belonging and migration). The exhibition displays 28 new artists’ books from different parts of the world, some of which are illustrated and other ones handcrafted as miniature structures: maps, plates, painterly marks, text and more. The interview with Professor Taylor is preceded by an introduction to the exhibition’s and the interview’s connection to the Special Issue ‘Rethinking the Biopolitics of Hospitality in the “Age of Extremes”’, which addresses similar concerns about the politics and poetics of mobility in a century fraught with crises of life, human well-being and more-than human conviviality.
