Abstract
We report a Cu-catalyzed hydrazidation of 1,2-diborylalkenes that generates densely functionalized intermediates with control of regiochemistry (29%–71%; >98:2). The products undergo a surprisingly facile second hydrazidation step, an observation that we attribute to a substrate directed transmetallation of the remaining boronate ester to Cu(II).
