Abstract
Even though much of the real world is non-linear, control courses within the university curriculum largely focus on linear control design methods. This paper seeks to readdress the balance somewhat by creating and illustrating resources that can be included even within relatively introductory control courses, thus helping students to engage better with world reality. The resources are part of the MATLAB control101 toolbox.
