Abstract
Increasing ice melting in the Arctic circle is predicted to open many sea- and land-use opportunities, but these will impose additional threats and challenges to the already changing Arctic ecosystems and biodiversity as well as the livelihoods of local communities. This Voices asks: how can we anticipate and manage sea-/land-use impacts in the Arctic to protect people and nature?
