Abstract
This article introduces a new Electromagnetic Spectrum Market architecture with the IOTA crypto asset, aiming to share licensed and unlicensed spectrum. Through temporary sales of licensed spectrum transmission rights, primary users are remunerated with IOTAs for leasing their transmission rights to secondary users. IoT devices equipped with sensing capabilities scan a given geographic space to feed the market database with unlicensed spectrum transmission opportunities, remunerating their owners for the verifications. Experimental results show that the architecture is feasible, given that the spectrum negotiation time was on average equal to 181 milliseconds, and the spectrum occupation verification time, performed by IoT devices, was between 5 and 34 seconds, depending on the amount of sensors involved in the operation.
Este artigo introduz uma nova arquitetura de Mercado de Espectro Eletromagn´etico com o criptoativo IOTA, visando compartilhamento de espectro licenciado e n˜ao licenciado. Por meio de vendas tempor´arias de direito de transmiss˜ao de espectro licenciado, usu´arios prim´arios s˜ao remunerados com IOTAs pelo aluguel de seus direitos de transmiss˜ao `a usu´arios secund´arios. Dispositivos IoT dotados com capacidade de sensoriamento varrem um determinado espac¸o geogr´afico, para alimentar o banco de dados do mercado com oportunidades de transmiss˜ao de espectro n˜ao licenciado, remunerando seus propriet´arios pelas verificac¸ ˜oes. Resultados experimentais mostram que a ar- quitetura ´e fact´ıvel, dado que o tempo de negociac¸ ˜ao de espectro foi em m´ediaigual a 181 milissegundos, e o tempo de verificac¸ ˜ao de ocupac¸ ˜ao do espectro, feito pelos dispositivos IoT, ficou entre 5 e 34 segundos, dependendo da quanti dade de sensores envolvidos na operac¸ ˜ao.
