Abstract
This chapter investigates how the Community of Philosophical Enquiry (CoPE) can be used in conjunction with other dialogic pedagogic methods in the context of Civic Science. It thus explores experiences in the Civic Science classroom and beyond. It pays special attention to the practice of employing dialogic pedagogic methods in the community to facilitate civically important science conversations. It also reflects on the role CoPE can play in enabling wider dialogic and civic efforts. It closes by offering a programmatic call to action for Higher Education to connect dialogic pedagogic approaches with the goal of community engagement.
