Abstract
This chapter explores the domestic impact of the seventeen G20 summits that have taken place between 2008 and 2022 with attention placed on the host country, city, leader and people. This discussion is extended to include other participants where relevant because all G20 leaders participate in these summits with one eye on the domestic reception. Specifically, the chapter will explore reputational politics, leveraging the summit for domestic objectives, economic and political benefits, as well as policing the summit.
