Abstract
This article aims to assess the evolution of the BRICS position in global climate change governance. The implications of this position for the group's role in this topic are discussed. Based on the analysis of the main regimes and agreements, we argue that although there is a willingness to act in multilateral forums, they face a series of constraints that make it difficult to adopt a common position.
