Abstract
Este artículo ofrece un estudio en perspectiva histórica detres villas deBuenos Aires –La Lonja, Cildáñez y Castañares–con el objetivo deanalizar procesos de transformación espacial en espacios de informalidad urbana durante las primeras décadas de crecimientomasivode aquellas, incluyendolas dinámicas de desplazamiento impulsadas por el Estado.Se propone que pueden distinguirse al menos dos tipos de dinámicas, interrelacionadas, en torno a la disputa por el espaciourbano en villas: la de la movilización y la de la procura diaria de los servicios básicos. Se proponeasimismoque las villas que lograron mayor consolidación, tanto espacial o material como organizativa, fueron las que lograron permaneceren el territorio en el largo plazo. Se trata de una investigación basada en el análisis de fuentes históricas.
Abstract This article offers a study ofthree Buenos Aires shantytowns –La Lonja, Villa Cildáñez and Villa Castañares–in historical perspective in order toanalyze processes of spatial transformation in urban informal spacesduring theirfirst decades of growth,as well as the statepolicieswhich promoted shantytown displacement. The articleargues that it is possible to distinguish at least two types of interrelated dynamics regarding the struggle for urban space in shantytowns: mobilization and the everyday procurement of basic services.
