Abstract
In this article we will reflect on the importance of EE issues in wireless networks one decade on. Firstly we review current industrial perspectives on EE in networks. Secondly, we briefly discuss some U.K. views on EE, reviewing how energy consumption has evolved in the last ten years and exploring current initiatives to improve the situation in future.
