Abstract
: The first part of the paper will carry out an overview of SLCA tools in general and SLCA matrix-based and checklists/guidelines tools in particular. The second part will introduce a SLCA matrix-based tool to support designers’ decision making processes in order to assist the creation/improvement of sustainable design products. Finally, the new method will be illustrated with an example and conclusions and further research will be discussed.
