Abstract
This chapter examines the existing mechanisms in European human rights law that relate to protection from Islamophobia, and evaluates their potential role in the EU Counter-Narrative Toolkit. To do that, this chapter reviews the relevant literature and case law, and develops a novel theoretical approach to how evidence of Islamophobia in a specific socio-legal context could shape human rights adjudication.
