Abstract
A driving force for this book has been to ensure that it not only establishes the history, and the philosophical and theoretical underpinnings of Exploratory Practice (EP), but also brings the field up-to-date with more recent developments. The book aims to take EP’s ethical, practical, theoretical framework, and analyse it thoughtfully, moving from practice to research and theory, back to practice. But as we have seen, there is more than one voice to be heard. Consequently, I now turn to some ‘living resources’ in the shape of interviews with those who have been doing EP for a while, and who therefore have some useful insights to share. I am enormously grateful to those who contributed, despite heavy workloads, and pressing life/health/well-being concerns. These interviews with some of the central figures in the field, the very researchers that have been talked about in earlier chapters (in alphabetical order: Dick Allwright, Isabel (Bebel) Maria A. de Cunha, Inés Kayon de Miller, Assia Slimani-Rolls, and Akira Tajino), are at once a chance for readers to hear from them directly, and an invitation to readers to join in the conversations.
