Abstract
Adaptive intelligent learning environments (AILE) seek to optimize the learning process for every individual learner. AILE is an active research area in Technology-Enhanced Learning, with two core research communities: Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) and Adaptive Educational Hypermedia (AEH).
