Brocklehurst, C and Evans, BE (2001) Serving the Urban Poor in India. Report. World Bank Water and Sanitation Program , New Delhi, India.
Abstract
This fieldnote examines the experience of Indian utilities and local governments in trying to extend water and sanitation services in low-income settlements and slums. Only limited progress has been made and most projects remain as isolated NGO or community led efforts with little support from government.
