Abstract
This paper summarises Chemoinformatics research the carried out in Sheffield and Influenced by Jacques-Émile Dubois. work on the DARC (Automated Documentation and Research of Correlations) project. Discussed are the aspects the use of circular substructural fragments, the generation of hyperstructures, and the representation and searching of generic chemical structures in patents.
