Output-based Aid and Sustainable Sanitation

A summary of an earlier research report, this paper reviews experiences to date with output-based financing for sanitation services and goods in developing countries. The paper uses the small number of examples to date to examine how such financing could be made to work better and become more attractive to governments in poor countries.
