Corporate Social Responsibility in der Lieferkette: Governance und Verantwortlichkeiten

This paper analyses the developing legal framework for CSR in global supply chains. The paper is embedded in interdisciplinary literature about the governance of supply chains. The paper addresses the trend towards global supply chain legislation in the home states of multinational enterprises. It critically assesses four recent pieces of legislation that impact on CSR issues in global supply chains: The UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, the German national implementation of the EU nonfinancial information directive of 2017, the French devoir de vigilance Act of 2017 and the UK Bribery Act 2010. The paper discusses the possible effects of these pieces of legislation on supply chain governance. It is argued that there is a trend towards hybrid regulatory mechanisms of CSR in global supply chains in which national law plays an important role.
